HELPING

to those most in need

Down

Our history

Ventanita Foundation Inc began its creation through the good will of those who wanted to help the people most in need. Initially, the foundation was a group of volunteers who in 2002 decided to organize dinners in the homes of those who made their homes available to be prepared for the people who consumed us, and with the donations raised by the dinners it was possible to help those who needed it most. The first house to hold these dinners was Mrs. Fabiola Camacho and we obtained some funds that were later used to work helping the children and elderly of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Divino Niño Church, in the Ventanas canton, Province of Los Ríos, Ecuador.

Later we requested the help of the San Lorenzo Community Center, to be able to hold the events required by the foundation, in this way they gave us a boost to organize ourselves. We organized events under the supervision of the "San Lorenzo" Church and with the support of thefounder ofSan Lorenzo Community Center, Father Hernán Astudillo, who very kindly supported us in whatever way he could.

When this foundation began to receive support from kind donors and due to the lack of formal registration with the government, in those years ADRA Canada, which is an organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, was asked to support us with the receipts corresponding to Paro the donors, but due to the growth of this same foundation we saw the need to separate ourselves from ADRA.

Based on this, Jerry Perfetti, one of the founders, decides to collaborate to register it as a non-profit foundation. It is from these humble origins and the willingness to help those most in need that VENTANITA FUNDATION INC. is created. This foundation has managed to support needs in parts of Ecuador, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
